Prasad Oak directorial highly awaited film Chandramukhi has finally released today i.e. 29th April. Amruta Khanvilkar and Addinath Kothare successfully bring an intense love story on board with a mixture of politics and folk art.

Story
The film brings a young enthusiastic politician Daulat Rao Deshmane(Addinath Kothare) who fell in love with Chandramukhi (Amruta Khanvilkar) who is a beautiful Lavani dancer. Despite being married, Daulat Rao couldn’t control his emotions and love for Chandra. Later their love story becomes huge trouble in Daulat Rao’s political career due to society’s average thinking of dating a Lavani dancer.

Review
Talking about the film, the story is based on a novel by Vishwas Patil with the same title. Though it is an adaption, each scene in the film is presented and crafted so creatively that it came out as a fresh story on screen and the cred here goes to the screenplay writer Chinmay Mandlekar. Talking about the direction, the captain of the ship Prasad Oak brilliantly presented an outstanding execution of an intense love story. Technically, as well the aspects in the film were to the point which enhanced the film more. Especially the camera angles, there was a perception to every short which improved the presentation of the film.

Well coming to the music part, Musicians Ajay Atul is truly a magician, the title track Chandra is already hyped even before the release of the film and has hit the chartbuster, but the other tracks from the film like Bai Ga and To Chand Rati are also too good. Last but the least, the cast of the film. Starting from the lead Amruta Khanvilkar, the actress has brilliantly nailed the character of Chandra with her mesmerizing adakari. Addinath as Daulat Deshmane was a perfect choice for the character by the makers as he pulled off the role deliberately. Coming to the supporting cast, Mrunmayee Deshpande who played the role of Dolly, Daulat Rao’s wife was to the point and Samir Choughule who portrayed Batashya sparkled like a real diamond with his fine performance.

Verdict: Overall, the film is a perfect narration of a love story that will make you emotional and respect the folk artist.
