The Baahubali cinematic universe is preparing to conquer a major global stage. Following the historic box-office dominance of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, the iconic franchise is expanding its footprint into international animation.

In a major milestone for Indian cinema, the upcoming animated epic Baahubali: The Eternal War has been officially selected for the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. Championed by master storyteller S.S. Rajamouli, the project will be showcased in the festival’s highly coveted Work-in-Progress (WIP) segment during the last week of June 2026.

The WIP segment has historically served as a launchpad for global masterpieces, including Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Flow (which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2025).
