Well the film Veera Di Wedding has been the most awaited movies in B Town. Thanks to the comeback of the Kareena Kapoor who seemed to be on the maternity break since past two years. The film seemed to be doing good as it has bagged good reviews as well while it also has some of the best comedy any B Town film with ladies can have. This time it has proved that any Bollywood movies with ladies in the key roles can be as humorous and comical than any male dominated movies. Well, the film is based on the four childhood friends who unite at the wedding of their friend played by Kareena. The others include Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Sikha Talsania. The Kangana Ranaut starrer film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been drawn into one issue to the other ever since it was announced in the media. Right from the protests to the issues with the cast and crew, the film has always remained at the limelight. In other words, there is no dearth of reasons for the film to remain in the news for all wrong reasons. However, with all the hue and cry the makers had the fate clear to get their film released. Finally, they are able to release their film on the eve of Republic Day. Though it will clash with a few, but the makers are confident that it will attract the audience on a big day. Also, the film has an apt release date, which will again help the movie.

Kangana Ranaut is playing the lead role in the film playing the character of Rani Laxmi Bai. The film is directed by the Krish fame filmmaker and he along with the producers are busy promoting the film in the media. He has given Kangana an opportunity to carry out the film’s promotion in her hometown in Himachal Pradesh. The lady also visited the popular Kuldevi Maa Mahisasurmaradini temple in the Himachal Pradesh to seek the blessing of the goddess just before she is heading for her film release. The Tanu Weds Manu actor has been seen in a traditional dress and she looks stunning as usual.

She just posed a photograph just before entering into the temple. She was seen with her heavy traditional dress along with her heavy gold jewellery along with having choker. She carried a beautiful smile while she was seen posing for the photograph with folded hands. The movie is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and is seen revolving around the infamous fight she had against the mighty British East India Company in the year 1857. The film as said is releasing on 25th January which is an apt time for such releases. 5 Bollywood Films that changed its original titles on CBFC’s Objection

Padmaavat and Why Cheat India

The B Town films often face the scissor of CBFC when the makers present them to get the certification. Some films also get a change in the titles as well. The recent example of the Emraan Hashmi movie called Cheat India that is now named Why Cheat India as suggested by the Censor Board. Similarly, there are many more such movies that changed their original titles once the CBFC objected, let’s check the five of these:

1). Padmaavat – The Sanjay Leela Bhansali was amidst the huge controversy when it was released in the screens. Fringe group objected a lot on the queen Padmavati was seen dancing that made the Censor Board ask for a change in its title.

2). Why Cheat India – the original title of the film was Cheat India and when the makers presented before the censor board, they had some reservations on its title. According to the board, the title seems to be misleading and hence they changed it to Why Cheat India from Cheat India.

3). Loveyatri – The film’s title was changed from Loveratri to Loveyarti as one of the complaints was hurled over it that stated that the title is misleading and hurting to the religious sentiments of the Hindu community celebrating the fest of Navratra.

4). Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela: Before the film Padmaavat, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had gone through the pain of changing his original title. His film was earlier titled as Ramleela which was objected by a community about some religious sentiments were hurt.

5). R…Rajkumar – Earlier the film was titled as Rambo Rajkumar but soon it faced some copyright issues. This made the makers change the title to R.. Rajkumar for the film starring Shahid Kapoor.

Know 10 new records set by Rohit’s ‘Simmba’. 3rd film from 2018 to cross 200 Cr.

Moviemaker Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, has outperformed the lifetime increase (local) of Chennai Express. The film is currently Rohit Shetty’s greatest grosser and remains at a gathering of Rs 227 crore at the local film industry.

Film trade examiner Taran Adarsh refreshed the movies figures of the film on Twitter, “#Simmba crosses *lifetime biz* of #ChennaiExpress and develops Rohit Shetty’s most noteworthy grosser… [Week 3] Fri 2.60 cr, Sat 4.51 cr, Sun 5.30 cr, Mon 2.86 cr. All out: ₹ 227.71 cr. India business. BLOCKBUSTER.” According to Bollywood Hungama, the lifetime accumulation of Chennai Express at the residential film industry remains at Rs 227 crore.

The film has got a huge response from out of the country. Earlier Taran updated about the business of film in the international market in his one of the tweets, “#Simmba crosses $ 12 million from international markets, after Weekend 3… Total till 13 Jan 2019: $ 12.230 million [₹ 86.61 cr]… Has emerged Rohit Shetty’s highest grosser in #Australia [A$ 1,439,876; still going strong]… #Overseas.”

In one more tweet, Taran confirmed that the movie earned 150 crores in its first week and 61 crores in the second week of its release. The movie has jumped quickly into the 100 crore business in just five days and touched the mark of 200 crores in first 12 days.

Becoming Ranveer’s highest opening film, it has become Rohit Shetty’s eight consecutive films to cross 100 crores and has collected 350 crores globally.

  1. Simmba has turned into Ranveer’s second best film after Padmaavat which made Rs 525 crore around the world.
