Twinkle Khanna pens an emotional note on Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia’s death anniversary

Twinkle Khanna keeps her fans and followers updated on her life on her social media handles. Twinkle recently posted a touching message on social media on the occasion of her mother-in-law Arun Bhatia’s first death anniversary. She published a lovely photo of the family, in which Akshay can be seen laughing with his mother Aruna Bhatia, sister Alka Bhatia, and her husband Surendra Hiranandani.

Twinkle captioned the post: “My fabulous mother-in-law once told me there can’t be two tigresses in one field. She meant the two of us. She was right. There was only one real tigress. The rest of us paled in comparison. Her one-liners were as legendary as her generous heart.”

Bobby Deol, an actor, responded to the post by using heart emojis. Aruna Bhatia, the mother of Akshay Kumar, passed away on September 8, 2021, at Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital.

Last year the actor tweeted about his mother passing away. He wrote: “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna tied the knot in 2001. The couple had two children, son Aarav, born in 2002, and daughter Nitara, born in 2012.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Twinkle recently revealed that a movie will be made based on her short story Salaam Noni Appa from her book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad. Sonal Dabral will direct it, and Mrs Funnybones Movies, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Applause Entertainment will co-produce it.
