Sidharth Shukla’s birth anniversary: Throwback to the time when he talked about how his mother stood by him after father’s death

Sidharth Shukla’s unexpected death shocked many people across the country, particularly his mother Rita Shukla, with whom the actor had a close relationship. He once detailed his mother’s problems and told how, following his father’s death, his mother took care of the family through financial difficulties.

It was during International Women’s Day, Sidharth spoke to the Humans of Bombay, “People know me as a man with a rough exterior. But I’ll always melt for my mom. Right from the time I was born, she’s been the most important person in my life. I was the youngest of 3 kids and too small to play with my sisters, so I was always around mom. Back when I was a toddler, I’d cry if I had to go a second without her–so even while making rotis, she’d hold me in one hand & the roller in another!

When dad passed away 15 years ago, it felt like the umbrella over us had been taken away,” he had said that his mother was rock strong and never exhibited symptoms of softness. Despite their limited resources, she managed the household, cared for three children, and met all of their expectations. “I know now that she must’ve had to sacrifice so much to give us what we wanted,” Sidharth had added.

Sidharth stated that his mother was always proud of him and that he was the happiest because he was able to make her smile. She was the lady who meant everything to him.

Sidharth Shukla conquered millions of hearts, from being World’s Best Model to winning Bigg Boss 13. Sidharth’s death left a gaping hole that can never be replaced. His close friends, followers, and family members are paying homage to him today, his birth anniversary.

The Bigg Boss 13 winner’s career was at its pinnacle when he died in September 2021 of a heart attack. His admirers were eagerly awaiting his projects, which included a film starring Prabhas and two OTT programmes, one with Jennifer Winget and the other with Pankaj Tripathi and Monica Dogra. He made his television debut in the 2008 programme Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na and has since acted in a number of sitcoms, the most well-known of which being Balika Vadhu. He later made his Bollywood debut as a supporting actor in Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. With Broken But Beautiful 3, he made his OTT debut.
