Pankaj Tripathi begins the shoot of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s biopic ‘Main ATAL Hoon’

Popular Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is set to play the role of Former Indian Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji for the biopic, ‘Main ATAL Hoon’.People are eager about the film ever since its first announcement. Now the Gangs of Wasseypur and Mirzapur actor, shared another update about the commencement of the film’s shoot.

Pankaj Tripathi, who has already been in the limelight in recent months for his strong likeness to Atal in the film’s posters, took to Instagram earlier yesterday and officially announced the filming of ‘Main ATAL Hoon’.. He wrote, “श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी जी’ जैसे महानुभाव व्यक्तित्व को साकार करने का अवसर मिला है, मुझे आशा है मैं इस महान व्यक्तिमत्व को न्याय जरूर दूंगा! Filming begins for #MainATALHoon. In cinemas December 2023”. This roughly translates to, “I have got the opportunity to portray the character of a great personality like Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji. I hope I will do justice to this great personality on screen”.

The team began shooting in Mumbai and will have a 45-day itinerary encompassing various locations of the country, including Mumbai and Lucknow.

The film is directed by National Award Winning filmmaker ‘Ravi Jadhav’ and is set to hit theatres in December of this year. Its poster was released on December 25, 2022, on the 98th anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth.

‘Main ATAL Hoon’ is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan and Kamlesh Bhanushali. Film’s music has been composed by Salim-Sulieman. Makers have kept the rest of the cast and crew under wraps.

Meanwhile, apart from ‘Main ATAL Hoon’, Pankaj Tripathi will be also seen in OMG 2 where he will be co-starring with Akshay Kumar. The actor is also part of satirical comedy ‘Fukrey 3’ which is set to arrive in cinemas on 24 November 2023.
