Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ finally gets a new release date!

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has been trending on social media in recent weeks due to the uncertainty around the film’s release date.The film’s release date, which was originally slated for June 2, was pushed back to August, according to media conjecture. Many admirers of SRK have been urging the producers to make an official statement regarding the film’s release date as soon as possible.

Their wait is finally over. And it turns out that these rumours were correct. The release date for ‘Jawan’ has been changed. Shah Rukh Khan turned to social media today to announce that ‘Jawan’ will be released in theatres on September 7th.

Along with the release date, Shah Rukh unveiled a new motion poster for the flick, which depicts a masked figure jumping in the air and hurling a spear.

This postponement of release, appears to be a wise decision by the producers, since Jawan will have a clear run at the box office for at least three weeks, as there are no major releases until Prabhas’ Salaar, which is set to open on September 28.

Earlier it was reported that ‘Jawan’ will hit the cinemas on 2 June. But as there was no start to the promotional campaign of the film as the release date kept getting closer and there was less than 30 days left for the release many fans and cine trade experts expected that the film’s release had been postponed. There were multiple media reports that ‘Jawan’ has been postponed to 11 August or 25 August.

Helmed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan will also star Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Sunil Grover among others. Along with Hindi, Jawan will also be released in Tamil, Telugu.
