In fact, recently, Monali surprised everyone by revealing her marriage. She told that they have been married for the last three years. She married Swiss industrialist Mike Richer in 2017. However, he kept this thing hidden. Monali also stated that she was not married to Mike in the traditional way. Monali told in this TV interview that ‘A funny incident happened on the day Mike was coming to India to get married. He came from Germany to India without a visa. The reason for this was that he was fooled by someone by saying that a visa to travel to India is not required if the person has Germany passport. But Mike was detained at the airport for not having a visa. ‘
In this interview, Monali further stated that her husband Mike stayed that day like a prison inmate at the airport. Authorities sent him back to Germany from the airport itself. Here, I kept waiting for Mike at the marriage registration office but he did not come. Then we got help from the Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Although by then Mike’s flight had reached Abu Dhabi but arrangements were made to bring him back to India and then we could get married. Monali also said that a film should be made on our Wedding Day.
