Kanika Kapoor Announces Separation From Husband Gautam Hathiramani
Playback singer Kanika Kapoor, best known for chart-busters like Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, and Lovely, has announced her separation from her husband, businessman Gautam Hathiramani.
The singer took to Instagram on Tuesday night to share the news through a brief note, revealing that the decision to part ways was mutual.
“Dear friends and family, after much thought and consideration, my husband and I are going our separate ways. I sincerely ask for kindness and respect for our privacy as we move forward. Love, Kanika,” she wrote.
A Second Chapter Comes to an End
This was Kanika’s second marriage. She was previously married to businessman Raj Chandok in 1999, with whom she shares three children—daughters Aayana and Samara, and son Yuvraaj. The former couple divorced in 2012 after 13 years of marriage.
A decade after her divorce, Kanika found love again and tied the knot with London-based NRI Gautam Hathiramani in May 2022. Their picturesque wedding celebrations in London were widely shared across social media platforms at the time.

Kanika launched her professional music career in Mumbai following her first divorce. She catapulted to overnight stardom in 2014 with the hit track Baby Doll (from Ragini MMS 2), which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
