First Day Box Office Collection of sizzlingel Mumbai
This Friday, we had two films that got its release, which certainly include sizzlingel Mumbai starring British actor Dev Patel and Anupam Kher. The film was based on the Taj Attacks carried out on 26th November 2008 and talks about the role of the employees of the sizzlingel Mumbai went out of the way to secure their guests stayed that fateful day. The film had a meager buzz in the media, all thanks to the low profile promotion in the media.
The film was created by a foreign filmmaker who had little connection in the B Town. With production companies like Thunder Road Pictures, Arclight Films, Electric Pictures & Xeitgeist Entertainment Group taking care of the production part, it would be rather unfair to expect much at the box office. The reasons were obvious, the film was not promoted the way it was supposed to be in the media, while the star cast did not attract the audience as well.
Also, the film was based on Taj Attacks, which somewhere makes it a niche film that may not interest everyone. Thus to expect much at the box office was a futile effort. Nevertheless talking about the collection, the film started with the occupancy of 10 to 15 per cent which later escalated to 20 to 25 per cent in most of the film. Except for the multiplexes, the single screen showcased a poor show. With this, the first-day box office collection for sizzlingel Mumbai reached around 50 lakhs, which would remain the same in the first weekend. One can expect the collection not more than 2 to 3 crores on the first weekend.
