Happy Birthday Mohanlal: Mohanlal turns 61, here are some of his upcoming films that you should look forward to!

Mohanlal is one of the finest actors in the Malayalam film industry. The actor has given some of the iconic films in the past four decades. Mohanlal enjoys a very strong fan base thanks to his immense roles in screen presence and sincere performances.

Since ‘Lalettan’ turns 61 today let’s take a look at his upcoming movies here:

Marakkar:

Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea is a story of the legendary Kunjali Marakkar IV and his epic warfare against the Portuguese. Mohanlal will be seen playing Naval admiral in the Priyadarshan directorial. The film has been shot with a massive budget of nearly Rs 100 crore.
Marakkar has a star-studded cast including Kalyani Priyadarshan, Pranav Mohanlal, ‘Mahanati’ Keerthy Suresh, Arjun Sarja, Manju Warrier and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty.

Aaraattu:

Directed by B. Unnikrishnan and written by Udaykrishna, the film will see Mohanlal in a massy new avatar. The action drama also stars Shraddha Srinath, Ramachandra Raju, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Prabhakar, Vijayaraghavan, Saikumar, Indrans, Malavika Menon, Swasika, and Rachana Narayanankutty.

Ram:

Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph will be joining hands for this latest film Ram. The film was supposed to hit the big screen last year but got postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Barroz:

With this film, Mohanlal is making his directorial debut. The legend will also be featuring in the titular role. The film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shayla McCaffrey, Sara Vega and Rafael Amargo. Through Antony Perumbavoor’s company Aashirvad Cinemas, the film has been shot in 3D. Major portions of the film are likely to be shot in Goa, Portugal, and Kochi.
