Yash Raj Films Bags Overseas Distribution Rights Of Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya
Following the grand launch of its title song at Mumbai’s iconic Royal Opera House on September 20, anticipation around Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming family entertainer, Yeh Prem Mol Liya, continues to build. In a major trade development, premier production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) has officially acquired the film’s international distribution rights, ensuring a wide release across global markets.
YRF boasts a formidable international distribution network with proven expertise in securing prime screens in major overseas territories. Industry insiders expect this strategic partnership to give Yeh Prem Mol Liya a massive platform among global diaspora audiences who favor Rajshri Productions’ wholesome family-centric cinema.
This deal marks the fourth collaboration between Rajshri Productions and YRF. Their association dates back to Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), which YRF distributed internationally. YRF also handled the worldwide release of Sooraj Barjatya’s 2022 hit Uunchai, as well as the domestic release of Avnish S. Barjatya’s directorial debut Dono (2023) across key Indian circuits.
Interestingly, Yeh Prem Mol Liya shares another strong connection with YRF through its lead actors. Both Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari are managed by YRF Talent, making the studio’s involvement in distributing the film abroad even more fitting.
