Vicky Kaushal has once again joined hands with his Uri: The Surgical Strike producer Ronnie Screwvala, and director Aditya Dhar for his next project. The film titled The Immortal Ashwatthama has been resting buzz ever since it was announced. Starring Sara Ali Khan in the female lead the modern-day superhero film is based on King Ashwatthama from The Mahabharata.
The makers of the film have been gearing up for two years now. Both Sara and Vicky are also prepping up for their roles for a few months. According to the latest update the makers have scheduled to get the film on the floors. If we go by the reports then the film will go on the floors in the months of September this year. It will be a five-month-long marathon schedule. The plan is to wrap up the shoot by January next year and begin the post-production.
“The film goes on the floors in the month of September with a five-month marathon schedule. The idea is to wrap up the film by January 2022 and being a post-production heavy film, invest time on the edit and post production of the film. A tentative shoot schedule has been prepared,” Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development.
First, the makers thought to shoot the film extensively in European countries. However, observing the Coronavirus pandemic and the uncertainty of the situation the makers have now decided to shoot in the USA and Iceland along with India.
The film is expected to hit the big screens by 2023.
