Story
Karwaan a light-hearted comedy, which deals with a  road trip with a difference without any friend on an adventure, but rather one can see three misfits on a journey, which simply goes a bit too off-track. Avinash played by Dulquer Salman happens to be a repressed young man who simply hates his IT job, and loathes his boss and would rather turn a photographer for his father played by Akarsh Khurana. One day when his father simply passes away meeting an accident he gets a body of a lady from another family by mistake. He then calls his Shaukat (played by Irrfan Khan) offers his van and his company to reach out to Kochi from Bangalore to get the body. It was exchanged by Tanya (Mithila Palkar)’s, grandmother also joins them. So it is a trip, which becomes a need not an adventure. What happens next is interesting to explore.
Review
The story of Bejoy Nambiar seems fresh & different but at the same time it is unconvincing. The story is half baked as many of the key aspects of the story remains unexplored. Though the makers tried to dig via the finding oneself but they were seen lagging behind in having the conviction with the said route that they have chosen to travel. Though one can enjoy the dialogues of Irrfan Khan apart from his acting when we see him struggling against the brain tumor.  It has kept alive the entertainment value of the film amidst the well explored picturesque locations. We see the film taking up the road trip but it takes too seriously and there it seems to fail.
Now, talking about the Star Performances, Irrfan Khan was simply awesome and you do not have to be his fan to like him performing him so well.
He is among the rare actors who has been always loved the movie lovers be they are his fan or not. Give him any line or any character, he simply aces them. In fact, he can come out with 10 different ways of doing things right. On the other side, Dulquer Salmaan was not less than a royal waste of talent if we compare him at his earlier films. Mitali Palkar surely deserved a much better Bollywood debut than this. His hilarious dialogues delivery are excellent and the second most delightful thing about the movie. Talking about the music and other things, it seemed okay and so is the screenplay and other things.
Karwaan The Last Word
With all said and done, the film Karwaan would be remembered for the ace performance of Irrfan Khan and his incredible dialogue delivery. If you are catching the film, better go with the low expectations and better be prepared to get entertained in parts.
