The much-awaited movie The Sky Is Pink starring Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar came out, it was not an instant hit as expected. All thanks to the niche content it has, which only attracted a limited crowd to the film. The first day could barely get 2.5 Crores, while there seemed to be some escalation on the footfall of the film on the second day getting 4.0 Crores, the collection, however, does not seem that impressive.
Sunday was the highest in terms of collection of the film, yet it failed to do well at the box office. With the collection of 5.5 Crores, the 1st-weekend box office collection for the film The Sky Is Pink is 12 Crores. Thus the impact of the film was too little to recognize over the box office by the makers. Despite the fact that the film has gained positive reviews with some good performances of actors like Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar along with Zaira Wasim, the emotional drama failed to attract the audience in a big way.
The weekdays would be more slower than the weekend collections. The content of the film only suited to some extend to the urban crowd and thanks to the lack of awareness about the issue that the film carried, it was seen with the way the film has performed over the box office. Also, the action-drama scoring high at the box office seemed giving a tough competition to the makers getting all the audience for it. Well, in other words, the film failed to impress the audience in a big way.
