Shattering Diwali & Opening Benchmarks
Releasing three days prior to Diwali, the film faced the unique challenge of having its major Sunday fall directly on the festival day, when evening footfalls typically dip. However, by 9:00 PM on Sunday, Ramayana: Part 1 surpassed the all-time Diwali day collection record previously held by Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (₹44.50 crore net in 2023).
Additionally, after trailing Prabhas’s Adipurush (₹237 crore net in four days) over its initial three days, Ramayana’s Sunday surge officially pushed its four-day total past Adipurush to become the highest-grossing four-day start for a screen adaptation of the epic.
EXCELLENT SATURDAY… #Ramayana [#Hindi version] bounces back, and this is just the beginning… The film registered higher numbers on Saturday [#ChotiDiwali], comfortably surpassing its opening-day business and recording the biggest day of its run so far.
Sunday [today] is expected to deliver strong results as well, although business is likely to witness a slowdown during the *evening shows* due to the Lakshmi Puja shubh mahurat.
The best is yet to come, with the biggest days starting *tomorrow*… #Ramayana is expected to post massive numbers from Monday to Wednesday, as the #Diwali festivities begin.
⭐️ #Ramayana [Week 1] Thu 47 cr, Fri 38.25 cr, Sat 53 cr. Total: ₹ 138.25 cr.
NOTE: #Hindi version.

Hindi Belt Drives Collections
The film’s box office dominance is currently being anchored by the Hindi version. Despite featuring superstar Yash as Ravana, the Kannada version opened to a modest ₹7.50 crore on Day 1 and has maintained a subdued pace. The Telugu dub continues to perform steadily, while Tamil and Malayalam versions are making smaller regional contributions.
Despite regional variations, strong word-of-mouth for its visual effects and performances positions Ramayana: Part 1 for an exceptional weekday hold.
