Its been around 12 days to see the film War releasing in the screens and as far as the story at the box office is concerned, it’s huge. The film has so far exceeded the 245 Crores figure at the box office despite the competition it has faced from films like Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Joker. Ever since the trailer of the film was released in the media, it created a good buzz in the media, thanks to the fierce action it has created in the media. However, this genre has fewer films to release every year.
But leveraging on this, the makers – Yash Raj Films were quick to embark with some of the best films in the B Town, which not only did well in the domestic market but at the same time had an impressive collection overseas. This Saturday the collection went on to score not less than 10.75 Crores, while Sunday had a similar collection to witness at the box office reaching 11.75 Crores at the box office. This has made the film come close to 270 Crores in India.
While on the other side, the overseas collection so far has reached 3.2 billion USD as claimed by the makers. The impact of action films on the B Town audience has remained steady all the time, however, it is not that easy to come out with this genre film in B Town. Only the big-time production houses like Yash Raj Films can make such films. While it is ironic to see that there is a dearth to action heroes in the film.
