Bunty Aur Babli 2 First Day Box Office Collection
Now that Sooryavanshi has ensured that theatres are open for business and that audience footfalls have resumed, it’s time for Bunty aur Babli 2 box office to pick up the pace. This is one of several films that Yash Raj Films had ready for a while but decided to hold off on releasing until it could be seen in theatres. That was a pretty nice act on their side, because this might have easily gone straight to OTT and done quite well on the digital platform, as Saif Ali Khan’s Bhoot Police did.
Aditya Chopra, on the other hand, stood by the exhibitors, promising that each of the films, whether it’s the long-awaited Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar, big-budget extravaganzas Prithviraj and Shamshera, or frothy entertainers like Bunty aur Babli 2 or Jayeshbhai Jordaar, will be released ‘theatre first.’ From that standpoint, YRF deserves all of the credit for making this possible.
In the best case scenario, the pairing of Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji might grossed more than their previous films, with a budget of around 4-5 crores. This is a good enough start for Varun V. Sharma’s picture, since the content will speak for itself from here, resulting in a strong weekend performance.
