Kiara Advani’s New Accent in Cannes Interview Shocks Fans: ‘Is She Channeling Kim Kardashian?

Kiara Advani attended an event on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday. While her stunning pink and black gown caught everyone’s eye, it was her accent during a red carpet interview at the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema gala dinner that really grabbed attention. The interview, where Kiara talks about her first time at Cannes, has surfaced online, revealing a notably different accent.

In the video, Kiara expresses that it is “very very humbling” to be invited to the event, especially as she marks 10 years as an actor. Her distinctly American pronunciation of words like “very” and “at” led fans to speculate about her adopting a new accent.

On Twitter, reactions were swift and varied. One user predicted, “Bollywood twt is coming to talk about your accent… RUN, KIARA RUN.” Another fan commented, “I love her, but why that accent?” Some felt her natural accent was preferable, with one stating, “Her own accent is really good compared to this,” and another adding, “Indian accent is in no way bad or a degrade then why do these people have to not choose it n ruin the whole damn thing.” A more critical tweet read, “Does Kiara Advani think she’s a Kim Kardashian when she talks like that? Please stfu, and stop that cringe accent. You’re not cool or funny for that.”

Earlier, Kiara also attended an event hosted by Variety, where she discussed her career and movies, joining a panel with other women from the entertainment industry. As for her upcoming projects, Kiara is set to star in the Ram Charan-starrer “Game Changer,” a political action thriller directed by S. Shankar, which will be released soon. Additionally, she will join the YRF spy universe in “WAR 2” alongside Hrithik Roshan and RRR star Jr. NTR. Kiara is also slated to appear in “Don 3” with Ranveer Singh and is rumored to star alongside Yash in “Toxic.”
