Will the First Look of Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana, Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, Be Unveiled at WAVES Summit 2025?

One of the most highly anticipated films in Indian cinema, Ramayana, is slated for release on Diwali 2026. Excitement has been building due to its impressive casting and the involvement of Nitesh Tiwari, acclaimed for his work on Dangal (2016) and Chhichhore (2019), as director. Last year, the filmmakers unveiled a teaser poster in November, confirming that the first part will debut next year, with the second part scheduled for release on Diwali 2027. According to sources, a new announcement regarding the film is expected as early as next week.
The inaugural World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES Summit) will take place from May 1-4, 2025, and the organizers aim to make it one of the year’s biggest talking points. They have invited prominent figures from various Indian film industries to participate. The Ramayana team is reportedly planning to share an update during this star-studded event. This collaboration presents a win-win scenario: the film team will gain a grand platform to showcase their project and attract significant attention, while WAVES will benefit from extensive media coverage.
However, the source noted, “The makers are considering either a poster or a video for Ramayana. Plans are still in progress, and a decision will be made in the coming days, provided everything aligns. Last year, they intended to announce the film on Ram Navami 2024, but that plan was postponed. Therefore, while the WAVES Summit presents a promising opportunity, nothing is confirmed yet.” Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Yash, known for his role in KGF, as Ravana.
