Sreeleela and Ananya Panday in discussions for Sidharth Malhotra, Raaj Shaandilyaa, and Mahaveer Jain’s upcoming commercial entertainer
It was in September 2024, when we came to know about announcement about Sidharth Malhotra securinga role in an exciting commercial entertainer. Recently, we revealed that the film will be directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, known for his work on Dream Girl (2019). Now, we have another intriguing update. A trade source informed Bollywood Hungama, “With the lead actor and director confirmed, the filmmakers are now focused on casting the female lead. They are currently in discussions with Sreeleela and Ananya Panday.”The film is being produced by Mahaveer Jain’s Mahaveer Jain Films (MJF), with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, a partner in MJF, also involved in the production.
The source added, “The makers are in advanced talks with both actresses and are hopeful to reach a decision soon, after which they will finalize the choice.”An industry insider commented, “Both actresses are incredibly talented and have proven their mettle. Ananya has consistently showcased her skills, notably in Kesari Chapter 2, where she made a significant impact. Sreeleela has also been making waves, gaining a Pan-India following with the hit song ‘Kissik’ from Pushpa 2 – The Rule (2024). She also landed a prominent role in Kartik Aaryan’s Diwali release, which will enhance her popularity in Hindi-speaking markets.
It will be interesting to see who ultimately secures the role.”Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is preparing for his upcoming project Vvan. Recent reports indicate that he will star alongside Tamannaah Bhatia in this mythological thriller, directed by Deepak Mishra and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Currently, he is wrapping up the final stages of Dinesh Vijan’s Param Sundari, which also features Janhvi Kapoor and is set for a theatrical release on July 25. Additionally, it was announced earlier that Sidharth has signed on for Race 4.
