After an intense drama between the makers and the censor board on the issue of cuts in the film Udta Punjab, we can see a new issue now. The makers of the film have noticed the leakage of their film on the web even before it is released in the screens. Therefore Phantom Films have filed a copyright theft case with the concerned cybercrime department yesterday night saying that the copy was only submitted to the censor board and soon they could see a number of torrent sites giving the users the option to download the movie illegally. However, as we check these links, it says removed owing to copyright complaint.
As per the sources, the snapshots seen over a number of sites had all the scenes that was slashed down by the censor board, which simply directs to the point that the copy of the film submitted to the board was leaked. As per reports, the leaked copy had a movie of two hours and 20 minutes. The film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and it was cleared with 13 cuts as directed by the Courts. As per censor board had simply argued, which the film has showcased a grim picture of the state of Punjab and the issue of drug problem. As we know the assembly elections are scheduled in Punjab in the next few months, hence such issues are inevitable to see.
