If you look at the figures of Box office of Mai Tera Hero – the David Dhawan’s latest directorial venture, you can certainly call it to be yet another money spinner of the year 2014. This movie starring Varun Dhawan, Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D Cruz seems to have done one of the best collections in its first week. The romantic action and comedy movie, which was produced in a fat budget, seems to have recovered around 95 percent of its production cost within a week’s time. MTH has been among the most hyped film in the Bollywood industry and had invested big money in the promotion of the same. The promos of the movie have simply added lots of hype of the movie in the audience.
The movie when hit in almost all the bigger screens, it simply opened up an average kind of response having the occupancy ranging in between 35 to 40 percent. However, While comparing to the earlier day collection, MTH was seen with a decline of 37 percent this Monday. However, its business simply soared the coming Tuesday though the following weekdays it went down. In a sense it was a roller coaster ride in the passing week.
To put the right figure across, the movie brought 22.8 crores in the first weekend, while during the weekdays the collection simply rolled down to 15.40 crores. The breakup starting from Friday to next Thursday went like this – Rs 6.60 cr, 8.03 Rs 8.10 cr, Rs 4.20 cr Rs 4.80 cr, Rs 3.40 cr and Rs 3 cr respectively. MTH was produced at the budget of 40 crores was able to recover 38.13 crore in just one week and is expected to cross the mark of 50 in the domestic market in the coming weekend despite the fact Bhoothnath returns is seen hitting the screens. Hence Main tera hero has no other bigger movie to disturb in its collection in the coming days.
