Mona Singh is a popular TV and film actress. She was born on 8th October in 1981 in a Sikh Family in Chandigarh. However, she was brought up at different places as his father was in Indian Army. Hence her schooling was carried out at different places, however, after the retirement of his father, she and her family settled down in Lokhandwala wherein she did her college. During her school and college days, she was very much interested in the world of acting and this passion led to Bollywood and the acting domain. During her migration to Mumbai, she entered this world via small screen getting her role in a TV serial called Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi in the year 2003, which became popular over the small screen for being a different serial apart from the hordes of Saas Bahu daily soaps.
After this serial, she got the chance to work in a number of TV shows and daily soaps including 2008-Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi and Kya Huaa Tera Vaada. Some of her reality shows in which she participated include Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 1, 2, 4, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega 3, Ratan Ka Rishta (Guest appearance), Star Ya Rockstar, etc. She also hosted a number of Shows including Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Star Ya Rockstar. While working with these TV serials, she was also dragged in a MMS Scandal wherein she was shown with the Kya Hua Tera Vada actor, however, she denied completely for the same.
Her first Bollywood movie includes 3 Idiots, wherein she played the sister of Kareen Kapoor Khan. This followed another called Utt Patang wherein she had the character of Koel Dutta, however, this year in 2014, she got the chance to do a big role in a political satire called Zed Plus in opposite to Adil Hussain. She was nominated in a number of award functions for smaller screens and have won a couple for best actress in her popular serial called Kya Hua Tera Vada in 2012, while was even awarded for her debut serial in 2003 and 2004 as well. She also appears in a couple of TV commercials apart from being the brand ambassador in 2007 for Sony Entertainment Limited for around 13 months. As per reports, she dated for around two years to her co actor called Vidyut Jamwal, however, the two moved out with mutual consent.
