THIS is what Akshay Kumar said when asked about his plan of joining politics

Akshay Kumar was recently asked about his plans of joining politics. Khalidi Kumar was recently present at the book launch of Hindujas and Bollywood, held at the Institute of Directors at London’s Pall Mall. Where he responded to the question saying he was “very happy” doing films.

When asked about entering politics, Akshay reportedly responded that he tries to contribute through film. “I am very happy making films… As an actor, I do whatever possible to take up social issues. I have produced 150 films, the one nearest to my heart is Raksha Bandhan. I produce commercial films, sometimes with social issues. I produce three-four films a year”. As per the report, Aanand L Rai’s directorial Raksha Bandhan is his latest effort.

This is not the first time Akshay had to answer about entering politics. Akshay responded while speaking outside of a gathering in Delhi in 2019 by saying,“Never, I want to be happy. I love films and I contribute to my country through my films. This is my job.”

Meanwhile, Akshay is working on several interesting projects, one is Raksha Bandhan, which is scheduled to hit theatres on August 11. Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, and Smrithi Srikanth are also included in the movie. Along with this he is planning to release Raj Mehta’s Selfie with Diana Penty and Nushratt Bharuccha soon. Additionally, Akshay will appear alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt in Abhishek Sharma’s Ram Setu.
