The Wife: The Gurmeet Chaudhary & Sayani Datta Starrer Film Gets a Release Date on ZEE5
The actor Gurmeet Chaudhary is back in the news as he is gearing up for his next film – The Wife. As per the recent buzz, the film is ready to release on the popular OTT platform – ZEE5. Gurmeet was earlier seen in the Salman Khan produced movie Hero, which has remained the solo film for the actor. The makers are now gearing up to release on 19th March 2021. The horror movie has actress Sayani Datta in the leading lady’s role.
Talking about his upcoming film the actor said that this is his first solo lead movie and it will showcase him in a different and altogether new avatar. He added saying that the script seems so fresh and one can find the film to be the best blend of spine chilling horror, romance, action, and drama. The story of the film revolves around the married couple who were seen shifting to a new apartment and then seen in finding out a suspect, which comes with the presence of malevolent spirit.
As their relationship is seen crumbling down, they soon end up realizing that they should stick together for saving their marriage and even their lives. The film is directed by Sarmad Khan. The story of the film is unique, feels the director as they have adopted the matter-of-fact approach for showcasing supernatural events. He added that a similar concept was seen earlier in 2003 in Ram Gopal Varma movie Bhoot with Ajay Devgn and Urmila Matondkar in the leading roles.
