Anurag Basu’s Chokher Bali, has landed Tara into a three-film deal with Vishesh Films and will be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s next, titled Love Games, which goes on floor on August 9th in Cape Town.
Tara says, “Being a Bhatt heroine is a dream come true.” About the movie’s premise, she says, “It’s a twisted tale of love, lust and passion. The film explores the complexities of human characters and yet, the story remains every bit real.”
Though it is easy to assume that the film falls into the stereotype of a quintessential two-heroine film, Tara is quick to clarify that she and her co-actor Patralekha have distinctly well-fleshed out characters.
She explains, “Screen-time is hardly of any consequence to me. My character should be integral to drama of the plot. And working with Patralekha is a rewarding experience. Such actors inspire you and help you hone your own talent. Their focus is on making the project shine.”
The actress, who has learnt script-writing in California, wants passion to drive her work. Her bucket wish-list of filmmakers include Aanand L Rai, Ayan Mukerji and Imtiaz Ali to name some.
For now, she has in pipeline Gun Pe Done with Jimmy Sheirgill, a breezy romance called The Perfect Girl as well as a Bengali film
