The big release last Friday was Tamasha, which had Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The film has got a decent response in its first weekend giving RK all sigh of relief. The movie seems to be different in terms of script and content, which helped it to draw a good collection at the end of the day and also the first weekend as well. In fact, Imtiaz Ali has been known for giving decent films to the B Town, and keeping the tradition up to the mark, the filmmaker has given another decent film to the audience.
As per reports, the first weekend box office collection tolled to around 38.23 crores, which is actually a decent amount for the film. Also, if you check the collection of the film overseas the collection tolled to around 2.8 million dollars (18.70). The film in UK & Ireland was able to earn 89.96 lacs, while in Australia & New Zealand it earned 14.30 lakhs making it the top grocer film for Ranbir Kapoor. Also, in the middle east especially in the UAE and other gulf countries the film managed to get 731K dollars apart from the 295 K dollars in Pakistan.
