Taapsee Pannu speaks on the rush of OTT movies, feels it is a great medium for reach with an extensive advantage

Taapsee Pannu is currently making headlines for her latest OTT film ‘Blurr’ which is another thriller offering from the actress. We all agree that the definition of entertainment and watching movies has completely changed after the pandemic. If you wish to enjoy a movie, you don’t need to visit a theatre as OTT already offers tons of binge-worthy content from the comfort of your home. 

After the beginning of OTT originals, various filmmakers skipped theatrical debut and directly launched their movies on the digital platform to reach a broad audience. 

The Blurr actress Taapsee Pannu has launched a bunch of movies digitally like Haseen Dilruba, Looop Lapeta and Doobaaraa before the currently streaming film. In her latest conversation, she spoke about her opinion on this medium and how widespread it is.

Here’s what Taapsee Pannu said

While talking to Hindustan Times, Taapsee Pannu stated that OTT was the best place to showcase films in the beginning as theatres were closed due to the COVID lockdown and there was no end to the wait of makers.”

She further added, “Even after theatres opened, people were scared and doubtful of visiting. Hence, streaming services kept ruling with a great run.”

Revealing her love to also release her films in theatres, Taapsee stated that OTT has a tremendous reach as many people choose to enjoy movies from the comfort of their homes instead of travelling to watch them in theatres. But, she also disclosed that she loves to watch films on big screens and is planning to watch some big projects of her friends in cinemas.

Let us tell you, Taapsee Pannu starrer Blurr, a psychological thriller movie is currently streaming on Zee5. Made under the direction of Ajay Bahl, the actress is seen in a double role in this film.
