Wiki – Suresh Ishwar Wadkar is an Indian playback singer who does playback singing for both Hindi and Marathi movies along with signing in Konkani and Bhojpuri movies as well. At the age of 14 years, a music teacher called Acharya Jialal Vasant took him as his disciple and helped in prepare for music degree called Prabhakar (a degree equivalent to B.ed a course makes you eligible to reach in Music schools) from the famous institute Prayag Sangit Samiti. Once completing his music degree Wadkar joined Arya Vidya Mandir in Bombay as Music Teacher. This is the place, which has given some of the best singers to Bollywood, which helped him find the opportunity to learn and grow a lot in music.
Biography : He mentor, guide and teacher called him in public as one of his torchbearer who will keep the light of music alive and expand to get the highest degree in singing and music. Suresh Wadkar made this as his mission and thus opened up his music school in Mumbai, which has one chapter in New York in USA as well wherein methodical training is catered to the students. He has linked his new chapter of his institute called Suresh Wadkar Ajivasan Music Academy to Ace Open University. As far as hsi singing career is concerned, he is a well trained Indian classical musical singer. He participated in a music competition called Sur Singar in 1976 wherein he won the title. The Judge of this program was Jaideve the famous music director who assigned a song called Seen Mein Jalan from his movie called Gaman (1978). The next veteran to get impressed by his voice include Lata Mangeshkar who hen introduced this man to music director Laxmikant Pyarelal and Kalyanji Anandji. They too were impressed and thus give him a couple of opportunities to sing song.

Some of his initial movies include Krodhi, Hum Paanch, Pyaasa Sawan, Prem Rog, etc. He sung a number of songs under the RK Banner wherein he gave his voice to Rishi Kapoor for the movie called Heena, Prem Granth for Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Bol Radha Bol, etc. Some of hsi recent movies include Jab We Met, which became a big hit, while his famous ghazal is Naan Mozhi Arindhaen. Also, he has done a number of devotional songs in various Indian languages as well. Besides, he is also a successful Marathi singer, who has worked in a number of hit Marathi movies and worked with good music directors like Pt.Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Shrinivas Khale, Sudhir Phadke, Vasant Desai, Shridhar Phadke, Anil-Arun and Ashok Patki.
