Rishi Kapoor is known for doing a number of movies and winning the National Film Award way back in 1971 when he has just entered in the film world as child artist apart from getting the award from Filfare for the movie Bobby in the year 1974. He is an established producer, director and actor of B town, who comes from a very prestigious family in Mumbai. His father, Raj Kapoor was the known actor, director and producer of this time, who is known to set different trends in the Bollywood industry. Rishi Kapoor has been even awarded for the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.

Wiki : Rishi Kapoor did his schooling from Campion School in Mumbai, while went to Mayo College, Ajmer for his graduation. He started his career with his father’s film called Mera Naam Joker wherein he was a child artist, while his first movie as a lead actor came in 1973 opposite Dimple Kapadia in the movie called Bobby and since then it was no looking back for him. According to him, he has worked in 92 romantic movies in between 1973 to 2000, 41 multistarrer movies, 51 solo movies. He has worked in more than 12 movies with his wife Neetu Singh, which include Khel Khel Mein, Kabhie Kabhie, Rafoo Chakkar, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Duniya Meri Jeb Mein, etc.

Some of the movies having him as the solo lead including Bobby, Sargam, Rafoo Chakkar, Laila Majnu, Prem Rog, Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin, Chandni, Ajoobs, Damini, Karobaar, Daraar, Gurudev, Demini, etc. His debut movie, which he directed was Aa Ab Laut Chalen starring Rajesh Khanna, Akshaye Khanna, Aishwarya Rai, Kader Khan, etc. Post 2000, he was mostly seen in the supporting character. These movies include Yeh Hai Jalwa, Hum Tum, Namaste London, Fanaa, Love Aaj Kal, Patiala House, etc. He even worked in British movies including Sambar Salsa and Don’t Stop Dreaming. He reunited with Neetu Sing in the movies called Do Dooni Char, Beshram, etc.

Some of his recent movies include Chintu Ji, Agneepath, Housefull 2, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Bewakufiyaan etc. Around seven movies was released last year wherein he worked in the supporting role. As far as the awards are concerned, he has been awarded with a number of awards, however, the recent one include the TOIFA award for his negative role for the movie called Agneepath, the Best Lifetime Jodi award with Neetu Singh by Zee Cine Awards and the Russian Award for his contribution in Indian Cinema. Talking about his personal life, he is married to the known actress Neetu Singh, while she has two kids – Ridhhima Kapoor Sahani and Ranbir Kapoor. He is also the paternal uncle of Kareena and Karishma Kapoor.
