CBFC Censors 15 Seconds of Sexually Suggestive Scene in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri
Earlier this week, the much-anticipated trailer of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was launched with great fanfare in Mumbai. The trailer received positive feedback and offered a glimpse into the storyline of the Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday starrer. With the film’s release just days away, the makers have completed the censor certification process ahead of schedule. Here’s an exclusive update on that front.
Now, talking about the latest on this film, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) awarded Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri a U/A 16+ certificate. However, the Examining Committee requested three specific cuts before granting certification. The most notable was the reduction of a sexually suggestive scene in the first half of the film, where 15 seconds were censored.In addition, the CBFC asked the makers to mute and remove obscene words from both dialogues and subtitles. Furthermore, abbreviations of offensive expressions appearing in a scene from the second half were also instructed to be muted and removed.
Following the implementation of these edits, the film received its censor certificate on December 15. According to the certificate, the final runtime of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri stands at 145 minutes and 41 seconds, or 2 hours, 25 minutes, and 41 seconds.
Talking about the film, it is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Bhumika Tewari of Dharma Productions, along with Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures, the film is directed by Sameer Vidwans, known for Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023).
Marking Kartik Aaryan’s first collaboration with Dharma Productions and his second with Namah Pictures and Vidwans, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is set to release worldwide on Christmas 2025.
