Ahaan Panday Confirms Next Film with Ali Abbas Zafar: “Led by Three People Under 30”
At the NDTV Indian of the Year 2025 event, Ahaan Panday officially confirmed his upcoming collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar. Fresh from the success of his Bollywood debut Saiyaara, Ahaan shared exciting details about the project during a brief conversation after receiving his award.
Speaking about the film, Ahaan revealed, “It’s an Ali Abbas Zafar film. I don’t know if I should say too much. All I can share is that it will begin shooting very soon, within the next couple of months. It’s an action film, led by three people under the age of 30. It’s something that hasn’t been done in a long time. For the rest, the audience will have to wait.”
This confirmation puts an end to months of speculation surrounding Ahaan’s next venture. Rumors first emerged in October, suggesting that Sharvari will star as the female lead, and Bobby Deol could play the antagonist. The film is reportedly produced by Yash Raj Films, marking another collaboration between the iconic production house and a young leading actor. Principal shooting is expected to commence in March 2026, with key sequences planned in the United Kingdom.
During the award ceremony, while accepting the Debutant Actor of the Year honor, Ahaan took a moment to acknowledge those who shaped his journey on Saiyaara. He expressed gratitude to his co-star Aneet Padda, saying, “I learned so much from Aneet, and I owe a lot to her. My growth on Saiyaara is thanks to Mohit Suri, but also to Aneet.” He added, “I remember telling her that whatever happens, what matters most is that one person leaves the cinema hall feeling something—that they’re moved. That’s our job as artists.
