Stree 2 Advance Booking: Shraddha Kapoor’s Film Far Outpaces Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa
Stree 2 Advance Booking: The highly anticipated horror-comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao is poised for a spectacular opening this Friday, coinciding with Independence Day 2024. However, it faces competition from other major Hindi releases on the same day, including Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite this competition, it appears that Stree 2 is set to dominate the box office.
According to a recent report from Sacnilk.com, Stree 2 has already amassed an impressive ₹11.37 crore gross in advance ticket sales in India for its opening day, with a remarkable 381,878 tickets sold so far. In stark contrast, Khel Khel Mein has sold only 15,001 tickets, generating a gross of ₹55.33 lakh, while Vedaa has seen similar figures, with 23,335 tickets sold and a gross of ₹56.57 lakh.
In addition to these films, other notable releases on August 15 include Tamil star Vikram’s Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith, and Puri Jagannadh’s Double iSmart, featuring Telugu actor Ram Pothineni alongside Sanjay Dutt. Political drama Raghu Thatha, starring Keerthy Suresh, and Mr. Bachchan, featuring Ravi Teja, will also hit theaters on the same day.
Stree 2 serves as the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, which starred Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, known for his patriotic and socially relevant films, returns to the screen with Khel Khel Mein. With the added advantage of a five-day weekend leading up to Raksha Bandhan on August 19, Stree 2 is undoubtedly the frontrunner expected to attract the largest audience.Â
The buzz surrounding the film, combined with its strong comedic elements and horror appeal, makes it a must-see for viewers looking for entertainment during the festive weekend. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if Stree 2 can replicate the success of its predecessor and become a box office sensation.
