‘Sikandar’ Teaser Reactions: Fans Debate if Salman Khan’s Film Feels More Like ‘Salaar’ or ‘Badass Ravikumar’

Actor Salman Khan unveiled the second teaser of his highly anticipated film ‘Sikandar’ on Thursday, leaving fans buzzing with excitement. Packed with adrenaline-pumping action sequences, the teaser showcases Salman in his signature style, taking down multiple opponents with ease. However, some social media users couldn’t help but compare it to Prashanth Neel’s ‘Salaar’, starring Prabhas, sparking a lively debate online.
The teaser features high-octane action across various settings, from outdoor battles to intense combat inside a plane. One particular scene, where Salman is poised to strike with a group of individuals armed with sword-like weapons behind him, has drawn comparisons with a similar sequence from Salaar.
On social media, opinions were divided. One user on X (formerly Twitter) remarked, “Every masterpiece & its cheap copy #SikandarTeaser #Sikandar.” Another user on Reddit commented, “Dialogues mundane and that ‘saaf kardunga’ line felt like a Ravikumar-style dialogue. Action is bland. Last shot was nice but gave me Salaar vibes.”
Meanwhile, others pointed out the illogicality of the referenced Salaar scene, with one user writing, “I liked Salaar, but the scene they’re comparing is the most illogical part of the movie. Don’t know if Sikandar’s makers were inspired by it.”The comparisons prompted fans to post collages juxtaposing similar scenes from both films, asking followers, “Who did this better – Salman in Sikandar or Prabhas in Salaar?” Some even initiated polls on platforms like X, with captions such as “Like for #Salaar, Retweet for #Sikandar.”
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, known for hits like Ghajini and Thuppakki, Sikandar stars Salman alongside Kajal Aggarwal and Rashmika Mandanna. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film is slated for an Eid 2025 release. While Salman is rumored to sport a brand-new look, it remains under wraps as the plot continues to be shrouded in secrecy. If you are yet to catch the teaser, time to have a look at the upcoming festive film:
