Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Mission Majnu’ set for a direct digital debut

Mission Majnu, starring Sidharth Malhotra, has opted for an OTT release rather than a theatrical release. This spy thriller drama, which also stars South superstar Rashmika Mandanna alongside the actor, will be released on Netflix. Yes, you read it right!

The actor’s long-awaited film will now be available on the OTT platform beginning January 20, 2023. This decision of the makers was announced on Tuesday, which was surprising for everyone. Earlier, the film was supposed to release in theatres in June 2022, but it was pushed back due to several reasons.

Shantanu Bagchi is directing this film set in the 1970s, where Sidharth Malhotra will be seen in the character of an Indian intelligence agent. He will enter Pakistani territory on a secret mission. The actor, who was last seen in Ajay Devgn’s Thank God, stated that he is excited about the release of Mission Majnu.

Here’s what the actor said

Sidharth said, “I am totally excited about Mission Majnu, as I am playing a spy for the first time. “It reveals India’s most thrilling undercover mission that brought a major change in the politics of India’s neighbouring country in the 1970s.”

He further added, “As we team up with Netflix, I am sure that this amazing narrative will connect with the audience across the globe.”
