Here’s what Shriya Pilgaonkar has to say about her role in Taaza Khabar
Shriya Pilgaonkar, who won hearts in web series like ‘Guilty Minds’ and ‘The Broken News,’ is soon going to be seen playing a sex worker in Taaza Khabar. You will see the actress in a very different avatar in this upcoming comedy-drama. She will portray the role of a sex worker named Madhu in this show.
We all have seen her as Sweety in Mirzapur, Kashaf in Guilty Minds and Radha in The Broken News. All her previous performances were outstanding and laud-worthy. In this case, her fans expect a lot from her new character.

While talking about her character, Shriya stated, “I am elated to join the team of Taaza Khabar where I got an opportunity to show myself in an entirely different avatar. I haven’t done this before in any of my roles and this was a fresh experience for me. It was fun indeed. I’m pleased to be seen in a role of a sex worker in this comedy series with Bhuvan Bam after recently being seen as a lawyer in Guilty thoughts and a news reporter in The Broken news. It was a blast to explore my appearance and performance. Madhu, my character, is spunky and full of zest. I can’t wait to show her to you!”
The show, directed by Himank Gaur, is planned to launch exclusively on the streaming giant Disney+ Hotstar. Following the life of a sanitation worker, the series highlights class-based impoverishment and the human urge to live a better life playfully. Shriya Pilgaonkar is presently filming for two future projects, the specifics of which are being kept secret.
Bhuvan Bam and J D Chakravarty also appear in Taaza Khabar. Besides acting, Bhuvan Bam will introduce himself as a producer, co-producing the series through his own production business, BB ki Vines Production. The series will release in January next year. Disney+ Hotstar provided a preview of Shriya’s character in Taaza Khabar today.
