Mary Kom Box office Report Overview :
The much-awaited women based biopic called Mary Kom has finally hit the theatres today. With a good buzz and hype about the movie, the reviews and response for Mary Kom seems to be incredible. Thanks to the different role Priyanka Chopra has done, which has made her reach to the next boundary of acting and performance. Having released in more than 3000 screens, the movie has got a flying start since the very first show at the theatres. The occupancy rate is reported to go up to 45-50 percent, especially at cities like New Delhi (NCR), Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and other metros. While the single screens were seen getting lesser occupancy rates since the movie fails to be the typical commercial pot boiler.
If the movie goes with the same pace, which according to the trade pundits and experts is going to rise in the evening show, the figure at the box office collection would be incredible. The trade analysts are expecting a collection of 10-12 crore at day one, while the figure for the first weekend collection is likely to touch 40 crores. This will remain stable for at least one week, which will help the movie to soon enter into the 100 crore club. Â With Mary Kom, the collection for Kick and Singham Returns is likely to get a pause, while similar would be the story for films like Raja Natwarlal.
