As per reports, Bollywood Hungama brings an exclusive update: Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand have finalized the release of King for Christmas 2026. “The duo considered multiple dates, primarily December 4 and December 25. After careful deliberation, they chose Christmas to launch this high-octane entertainer,” revealed a trusted source.
The decision to skip the December 4 slot comes out of respect for Ramayana, another major release expected to make history at the box office. “SRK and Sid want to avoid clashing with Ramayana and ensure both films enjoy their deserved space. The Christmas release creates a healthy 45-day gap, allowing each film to thrive independently,” the source added.
With no other major Hindi releases scheduled during the Christmas window, King is set for an open run, maximizing its box office potential. Although the Hollywood blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday will release a week earlier, Hindi audiences traditionally prioritize Shah Rukh Khan’s films as a festive season highlight.
