Of course, you know the Munna Bhai of Bollywood, who is known for both his good and bad reasons. He is a known actor and producer of the B Town. He was born and brought up in Mumbai to popular actor Sunil and Nargis Dutt thus getting a good launch pad for his film career. Since he lost his mother, he went into depression leading to drug addictions. He was even sentenced for six months imprisonment for having illegal substance. Later when he was released he was sent to United States wherein he stayed for two years in a rehab centre to get rid of his drug addiction, when he returned to India, he resumed his career. He married thrice, first one Richa Sharma passed away due to brain tumor, second one Rhea Pillai divorced in 2005, while his third wife is Manyata from he has twins.
Wiki : Sanjay Dutt started his career working as a child actor in a movie called Reshma Aur Shera, however, his first movie in the lead role commenced with the movie called Rocky, which embarked in 1981. The tenure of 1972 to 1993 had a number of hits, which include Vidhaata, Main Awara Hoon, Jeeva, Mera Haque, Imaandaar, Jeete Hain Shaan Se,Naam, Inaam Dus Hazaar, Ilaaka, Mardon Wali Baat, Kanoon Apna Apna, Taaqatwar and Hum Bhi Insaan Hain. He received several awards for his movie Naam and even for Kabzaa and Hatyar, which appeared in the late eighties. In the early nineties, he suffered the charges for possessing weapons and therefore was arrested the act of TADA.
Thus from 1993 to 2006, he had to suffer a number of imprisonment and release on bail, which hampered his acting career to a great extent. However, he started working with Mahesh Bhatt’s movie called Kartoos along with other movies like Daag, Khoobsurat, Haseena Maan Jayegi and Vaastav. He later did some exception movies like Jodi No.1, Munna Bhai MBBS, Plan, Musafir, Parineeta, Dus, Zinda, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Shabd, etc. He received number of awards for Lage Raho Munna Bhai, while his movies Dhamaal and Shootout at Lokhandwala too garnered good response from the audience and critics.
Apart from acting and film career, Sanjay Dutt was also seen in the small screen wherein he hosted the Bigg Boss season 5 TV reality show in 2011, which was aired on Colors in the same year. Later, he turned entrepreneur embarking with his team in India’s first professionally organized mixed martial arts league called the Super Fight League along with Raj Kundra in the year 2012. In 2013, he was sent to imprisonment to complete his remaining punishment of 18 months, which is likely to end soon this year. However, using the parole act, he was seen out completing his films. Currently, he is in imprisonment in Yerwada jail in Pune, completing his 18 months imprisonment.
