Happy Birthday Twinkle Khanna: Here’s her journey from an Actor to an Author!

Don’t we all love Mrs. Funny Bones! On Twinkle Khanna’s birthday today, let’s go down memory lane to witness her journey from an actress to a successful writer. Twinkle is the daughter of Veteran Superstar Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia.

Being a star kid Twinkle thought she can pursue acting as a career. And after being part of more than 15 films, she realized this is not what she wants to do with her life. But it wasn’t untold a decade later that she realized her passion for writing.

For starters, she began writing with newspapers columns, which got so popular leading to her first book Mrs. Funny Bones published in 2015. This was soon followed by The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, book was a collection of short stories from the corners of India. And one of the stories in the book was inspired by Arunachalam Muruganantham, the inventor of low-cost sanitary napkins. It was then turned into a movie ‘Pad Man’ with which twinkle launched her own production house Mrs. Funnybones Movies. The diva started off as an actor, became a producer and now she is making waves with her books and columns.

Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times when asked if she finds it ironic that she didn’t receive so much appreciation for her acting career as compared to her writing career. Twinkle responded, “Maybe I am better at writing. So I console myself with the fact that I have a career that lasts me a lifetime”, and we couldn’t agree more.
