The series is known as India’s New Wave and is screened over the works of the directors who are known to have contributed in the modern cinema’s perspective. The previous year, the museum was seen celebrating the work of the director Mani Ratnam, while the actor Om Puri and the music composer A R Rahman and Nandita Das. As the movie festivals are becoming popular over the spaces. As the film festivals including the Cannes, Toronto and Venice are becoming popular among a number of directors, the NY based museums is keen to screen the art & culture of India by simply portraying their work.
