Salim Khan is a famous Indian actor, film producer, and screenwriter in the Hindi film industry. His full name is Salim Abdul Rashid Khan. Salim was born in Indore on November 24, 1935, and his grandfather Anwar Khan came to India from Afghanistan. He was a part of the army during the British period and settled in Indore in search of employment. When Salim was only 9 years old, his mother passed away. She had suffered from tuberculosis for four years before her death, and so it was forbidden for young children to come near or hug her, so the boy Salim had little contact with his mother even before her death.
His father died in 1950 when Salim was 14 years old, and later he had no elder’s hand on his head, only his siblings’. The financial conditions of his house were fine, but he did not get the love of his childhood. When Salim was in college, friends encouraged him to try his luck in films.
Acting debut:Â
Salim Khan made his debut in 1960 as an assistant actor in director K. Amarnath’s film Baraat. For this film, he got a Rs 1,000 lump sum salary and a Rs 400 monthly salary. Salim started working in B-grade films while playing minor roles.

Salim Khan has worked in 14 films.
Salman Khan’s father, Salim, worked in about 14 films till 1970, including Teesri Manzil (1966), Sarhadi Lootera (1966), and Deewana (1967). His most important role was in Teesri Manzil, where he played the soulful role of the protagonist’s friend. While working in films, he met Sushila Charak. Salim fell in love with the very beautiful Sushila, married her in 1964, and named her Salma Khan. His mind was engaged in writing more than working on films, so he slowly started writing screenplays for films, and now he is considered a famous writer.

Salim Khan and Salma had four children: Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and Alvira. Salim’s family was living a happy life with his children until Salim fell in love with Helen, the first item girl and dancer in Hindi cinema. Salim Khan married Helen in 1981. After the marriage, there was a lot of estrangement in Salim’s family.
Once, while talking to the media, Salma said that she had gone into depression after this marriage and was very disturbed. The condition had become such that Salman Khan, Arbaaz, and Sohail had stopped talking to their father, Salim, and did not talk to Helen at all.
Now the whole family, including Salma, loves Helen.
But it is said that time heals every wound on its own. Seeing Helen’s nature, everyone, including Salim Khan’s wife Salma, made her their own. Now the situation is such that Salman Khan does not forget to wish Helen and Salma on Women’s Day and Mother’s Day. Salim Khan and Helen do not have any children. Helen now stays away from Limelight. Sometimes she is seen on a reality show.
