MX Player’s ‘Salesman Of The Year’ has been a real pleasure for writer-producer Ashish Patil
Salesman Of The Year, a latest MX Player series by writer-producer Ashish Patil is currently streaming on the digital platform. Bringing the story of Karthik Reddy, a salesman from Hyderabad switching jobs, cities and living space in Delhi, the series depicts his journey meeting various types of peoples from controlling boss, overly competitive coworkers, an unbearable landlady, an irritating DJ roomie along with some hilarious situations while he tries to stay focused.
The trailer for ‘Salesman Of The Year’ highlights the challenges and difficulties that a Hyderabadi salesman faces in Delhi. Hussain Dalal (writer of ‘Brahmastra’ and the upcoming ‘Shehzada’), Ahsaas Channa, Vikhyat Gulati, and Naman Arora feature in the lead roles.

Ashish Patil in a text chat said, “We are all hoping to connect or be accepted everywhere, whether in a new location, a new job, with new friends, or with our own families, just like Karthik and this is what makes our show realistic. What distinguishes it from other popular shows is the use of Hyderabadi slang and swag never seen before in mainstream dramas. It’s a spicy Hyderabadi Biryani served with Dilli ke Parathe.”
“We filmed this in September and concluded it within 12 days. It was produced in Delhi and Mumbai and only includes five 20-minute episodes. Kinda short one, “Patil went on to say.
On working with MX Player for the project, Patil said, “‘Salesman Of The Year’ has been a real delight for me. MX Player and I are working on another project right now. I’ve had a wonderful experience collaborating with this platform.”
