COVID-19: Priyanka Chopra Jonas raised over USD 3 million from her fundraiser
India is facing a lot of difficulties since the Coronavirus pandemic. During these tough times, many celebrities are coming forward to help everyone in need. One of them is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. She’s taking all the efforts to raise funds for helping people in India.
Priyanka had kickstarted a fundraiser at the beginning of the month to help provide COVID-19 relief for India. The actress was even joined by several other Hollywood celebrities amid the rising second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Now the actress took to her social media handle to inform her fans that the fundraiser has collected over USD 3 million.
The international actress also informed that with the help of this fund they were able to produce 500 oxygen containers, 422 oxygen cylinders, and even manpower of 10 vaccination centers that would help over 6000 people to get vaccinated in the coming months.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Priyanka Chopra wrote, “Thank you to every single one of you who have donated and made these actions possible… please know that you have helped save lives. With your support we’ve now accelerated our fundraiser to $3 Million (22cr INR).”
Several Hollywood stars including Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon, Richard Madden, and others Have joined Priyanka’s fundraiser to help India fight the pandemic.
On the work front, Priyanka was last seen in The White Tiger and We Can Be Heroes, both of which, released on Netflix.
