Raju Srivastav’s daughter Antara informed about her father’s health update; ‘We Are Praying..’
A well-known comedian in the entertainment industry Raju Srivastava was admitted to the AIIMS on Wednesday. The actor and comedian had a heart attack yesterday, and according to reports, he is currently on a ventilator and in a severe condition. The 58-year-old comedian complained of feeling uneasy while exercising in a gym and was sent to the hospital right away. Meanwhile, Raju’s daughter opened up about her father’s health condition and mentioned that the Srivastav family praying for his health.
In conversation with BT, Raju’s daughter Antara Srivastava stated, “My father has been traveling regularly to Delhi and other places across the country for work. He makes it a point to exercise in the gym every day and never misses his workout. He was perfectly fine and has had no heart ailments, so this is very shocking.” She further added, “His condition has neither improved nor worsened. The entire medical team is doing its best. We are praying and hoping he will be fine soon. My mother is with him right now inside the ICU.”
On Thursday, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, spoke with Shikha Srivastava, Raju Srivastava’s wife. The chief minister promised his family all assistance and directed staff to stay in touch with them.
In addition to being the chairperson of the UP Film Development Council in Uttar Pradesh, Srivastava has been involved in the entertainment sector since the late 1980s.
On the work front, Raju Srivastav appeared in shows and films like, The Kapil Sharma Show, Comedy Circus, Bigg Boss, Shaktimaan, and films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab, and Baazigar. As a recent special guest on India’s Laughter Champion, he was visible. Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, Baazigar, and Bombay to Goa are a few of Raju Srivastav’s well-known movies.
