Prime Video Sets September 11 Premiere for Nikkhil Advani’s Period Drama ‘The Revolutionaries’
Prime Video has announced that its upcoming Hindi Original series, The Revolutionaries, will premiere worldwide on September 11, 2026. Created and directed by Nikkhil Advani, the period drama is inspired by true events and sheds light on the lesser-known figures who championed armed resistance during India’s struggle for independence.
Produced by Madhu Bhojwani and Monisha Advani under Emmay Entertainment, the series is an adaptation of Sanjeev Sanyal’s bestselling book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom. The screenplay has been penned by a writing team comprising Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, Akshita Wadhwana, Shobhit Narang, and Rutvi Mehta.

The ensemble cast features Bhuvan Bam as Rash Behari Bose, Rohit Saraf as Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Pratibha Ranta as Pratibha Lahiri, and Gurfateh Pirzada as Bagha Jatin. Supporting roles will be played by Jason Shah, Paoli Dam, and Tota Roy Chowdhury. Set against the backdrop of pre-independence India, the narrative explores the deep bonds of friendship, sacrifice, betrayal, and high-stakes choices made by these young freedom fighters as they challenged the British Empire.
Highlighting the project’s vision, Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of SVOD Originals at Prime Video India, noted that the series honors the bravery of unsung heroes who chose the path of armed rebellion. Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani added that the opportunity to bring these forgotten historical figures to life through a character-driven action drama was the key motivation behind the project. Producers Madhu Bhojwani and Monisha Advani described the show as a deeply personal labor of love.
The Revolutionaries will stream in over 240 countries and territories starting September 11, 2026. The series will be available in its original Hindi audio alongside dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali, accompanied by subtitles in English and multiple international languages.
