Ramayana Box Office Day 1 Advance Booking: Surpasses Dhamaal 4 with 6th-Highest Pre-Sales of 2026

The highly anticipated epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is demonstrating powerful pre-sales momentum at the Indian box office ahead of its release. Mounted as India’s most expensive cinematic project, expectations are exceptionally high. With 13 days still remaining before its global theatrical debut, the magnum opus has already entered Bollywood’s top six opening-day advance booking totals of 2026.

As of 12:20 PM IST, the film has sold over 1.13 lakh tickets for Day 1 (excluding blocked seats), grossing ₹6.51 crore (₹5.52 crore net) in pre-sales across India. These figures are particularly impressive given that advance bookings have opened across a limited number of screens so far.

By hitting ₹6.51 crore gross, Ramayana has officially registered the 6th-highest opening-day advance booking of 2026 for a Bollywood title, comfortably overtaking Dhamaal 4 (₹5.68 crore). Trade tracking indicates the film will soon leapfrog Awarapan 2 (₹8.57 crore) to secure the 5th spot, with realistic projections placing it on track to eventually challenge Drishyam 3 (₹31.65 crore) for the 2nd spot before release day. Currently, Dhurandhar 2 leads the 2026 chart with a staggering ₹53 crore in opening-day pre-sales, followed by Border 2 (₹12.5 crore) and Mirzapur The Movie (₹9.19 crore).

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations, the mythological spectacle features a stellar ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, and Vivek Oberoi. Ramayana is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on November 5, 2026.
