Post-Midnight Shows of Dhurandhar Added in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad Due to Unprecedented Demand

The excitement surrounding Dhurandhar continues to fill theatres to capacity, prompting cinemas across Maharashtra to introduce post-midnight screenings. In Mumbai, shows now start as late as 12:45 am—a rare move that highlights the unstoppable buzz around the film’s release. This decision to add late-night shows comes after a surge in advance bookings at both multiplexes and single screens.
It underscores the strong word-of-mouth and high anticipation that Dhurandhar has successfully generated among audiences. The trend extends beyond Mumbai. Pune has also joined in, with post-midnight shows beginning from 12:20 am today, fueled by heavy bookings and consistent demand from eager moviegoers. Ahmedabad, too, has witnessed the introduction of similar late-night screenings.
This isn’t the first time Dhurandhar has seen post-midnight shows; the same pattern was observed during its opening weekend, which was first reported by Bollywood Hungama. Typically reserved for films with exceptional demand and mass appeal, midnight and post-midnight shows reflect fan-driven momentum. Dhurandhar’s ability to attract such screenings across multiple cities reflects its widespread popularity and cross-demographic appeal.
Meanwhile, the film is going great guns at the box office. According to early trends, Aditya Dhar’s directorial Dhurandhar added an impressive ₹53-55 crores to its box office tally on day 9. The film continues to be the #1 audience favorite, dominating ticket sales like no other release in 2025. Its record-breaking run has surpassed Pushpa 2, which collected ₹46.50 crores in the Hindi belt, making Dhurandhar the highest-grossing film on a second Saturday ever in Bollywood history.
When compared to the previous second Saturday collection of ₹34.70 crores, the spy action thriller has recorded a remarkable 53-58% jump in earnings. The overall box office collection in India now stands around ₹305.7-307.7 crores net. With these numbers, Dhurandhar has become Aditya Dhar’s highest-grossing film, outpacing his earlier blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike, which earned ₹244.06 crores.

Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The film is produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
