Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Box Office Day 1: Disastrous Start, Earns Over 75% Less Than Prequel

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, starring Kapil Sharma alongside Warina Hussain, Manjot Singh, Parul Gulati, Ayesha Khan, and Tridha Choudhary, is wrapping up its opening day with night shows nearing completion. Despite being a sequel, the film failed to create buzz during its pre-release phase, and the overwhelming success of Dhurandhar has further overshadowed its presence. The movie is quickly ended up toward a poor performance film at the Indian box office on day one.

This sequel is one of those rare Bollywood follow-ups that no one really asked for, and the anticipation was almost nonexistent from the start. While the original 2015 film became an unexpected hit, audience tastes and expectations have shifted significantly since then. Kapil Sharma remains a household name thanks to his popular comedy shows, but this has ironically dampened excitement for his big-screen ventures.

Morning shows opened with just 6% occupancy, which increased marginally to 14% in the afternoon and only reached 17% by evening. Early reports indicate that night shows also failed to deliver any significant uptick. So, as per reports, the Kapil Sharma starrer film earned only 1.75 Cr, which is certainly very less when compared with the previous ones.

With such disappointing turnout, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is projected to earn a meager 1.6-2.1 crore net on day one, signaling that audiences have largely ignored the film. In comparison, the first Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon opened with a strong 10.15 crore net collection in 2015. The sequel’s opening thus marks a staggering 79-84% drop in box office earnings.
